UgSIG 2026 Call for Applications: The 2026 Uganda School of Internet Governance

The Internet Society Uganda Chapter is proud to announce the upcoming 6th Edition of the Uganda School of Internet Governance (UgSIG) scheduled for May 26, 2026 in Kampala, Uganda.

Since its inception, the Uganda School of Internet Governance (UgSIG) has served as the premier capacity-building platform for digital policy enthusiasts in Uganda seeking to advance their knowledge and skills in digital governance issues.. Our mission is to equip the next generation of digital leaders with the technical, legal, and policy expertise required to shape an open and secure internet for all Ugandans.

2026 Focus Areas:

  • AI & Emerging Tech: Navigating the ethics and policy of Artificial Intelligence in East Africa.
  • Internet Resilience: Technical strategies for maintaining connectivity and network security.
  • Cyber Security and Trust: Understanding digital fortification strategies and verifiable integrity frameworks to secure data and build stakeholder assurance.
