UGANDA IGF 2023: CALL FOR SESSION PROPOSALS
The Uganda Internet Governance Forum (UIGF) secretariat invites stakeholders passionate about transforming Uganda’s Internet landscape to submit session proposals to shape the forum agenda. Session proposals are welcome under the following sub themes AI & Emerging Technologies; Cybersecurity, Cybercrime & Online Safety, Data Governance & Trust, Digital Divides & Inclusion, Human Rights & Freedoms. Session formats accepted include: Workshop, Panel, Lighting talk, Side event, Exhibition.
Why Participate
The Uganda Internet Governance Forum 2023 will be held under the theme “The Internet We Want – Empowering Ugandans” on July 28, 2023 August 24, 2023. The forum has since 2006 been a platform for deliberation on internet governance concerns in the country. As part of the Internet Governance Forum a global multi stakeholder platform that facilitates the discussion of public policy issues pertaining to the Internet, the Uganda Internet Governance Forum (UIGF) provides a platform for deliberation on internet governance concerns in the country. Debates at this annual forum focus on broad areas such as the need for increased providing meaningful connectivity for everyone, security, digital trust, and stability of the internet. Addressing these issues requires cooperation between the public and the private sectors, the technical community, the academic and research sector, and civil society.

- Call for session proposals closes:
June 23, 2023June 30, 2023. - Notification of accepted proposals:
June 30, 2023July 07, 2023
