Mark Tusiime is the Programs Administrator at Zimba Women, where he concurrently serves as the Project Manager for the #HerdigitalFutureUG initiative aimed at empowering women in the informal sector in Northern Uganda through digital skills training.
Mark’s journey in technology is marked by a profound passion and commitment. As a former Google Student Developer Lead for the UICT chapter, he played a pivotal role in advocating for Google technologies and mentoring students on their practical application. He initiated the Demo Day to showcase student innovations and foster sustainable entrepreneurship.
Currently, as a co-organizer of the Google Developer Group Kampala, Mark continues to nurture a community-driven approach to technology education and advocacy, empowering developers and enthusiasts alike.
He is deeply involved in advocacy and policy initiatives aimed at creating a more inclusive digital ecosystem. His participation in the 4th National Youth Parliament and the YouLead Summit underscores his commitment to shaping discussions on digital inclusivity within Uganda and the East African community and its economic impact.
