Ashaba Nebert

Ashaba Nebert is a Network Operations Engineer at the Research and Education Network for Uganda (RENU) where he is majorly responsible for setting up and monitoring internet connectivity for research and education member institutions in Uganda. Prior to joining RENU, Nebert worked as a Quality Control Engineer at Huawei Technologies (U) Co., Ltd where he was responsible for setting up and managing different live networks for customers.

He is a Computer Scientist and Digital Innovator who holds a Bsc. Computer Science from Makerere University and is currently on a mission of using ICT in solving societal day-to-day problems using technology-driven innovations especially in the developing world setting.

His current major focus areas and research interests are low-cost communication technologies, ICT4Development and Internet-of-things for developing regions.
